Website design – Terms and conditions

By accepting the quotation supplied by Swenka Graphic Design you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions. Please read these terms and conditions carefully.

Commencement of project: Swenka Graphic Design will begin the design development process upon receiving payment of 50% deposit. As soon as payments are made a proof of payment must be to Swenka Graphic Design.

The brief: It is important that you email a detailed descriptive brief, including a sitemap of the basic structure of the site as well as the content, which should be in a Word document. Swenka Graphic Design will produce your website creation after receiving the content, the sitemap and proof of your payment.

Website functionalities: You must please be clear about what you’d like the website to be capable of. The capabilities must be clearly stated by the client before the quotation is accepted. Any functionalities such as online forms, galleries, PDF downloads, and so on, not included in the quotation will be quoted for as additional costs.

Project duration: While we are working on your website, an offline page will be made available for you to view at specified times. The offline page will be taken down and replaced with the completed online site, once all outstanding amounts are paid. The first viewing will be 1 week after content is received or sooner. The duration of the project is very much determined by the client and client feedback.

Refunds: Swenka Graphic Design follows a no refund policy.

Domain Registration: One .co.za domain per website will be registered for one calendar year for free. After one year, if the client wishes to renew, domain renewal will be charged for at the rate then applicable.

Domain cancellation notice: If you wish to cancel a domain, 2 calendar months’ notice must be given via email to info@swenkadesigns.com

Hosting: One year’s hosting per website will be registered for one calendar year for free. After one year, if the client wishes to renew, hosting will be charged for.

Hosting cancellation notice: If you wish to cancel hosting, 2 calendar months’ notice must be given.

Hosting uptime: Swenka cannot guarantee 100% uptime on hosting servers, although we strive to have your site up and running all the time. In the case of a website being down due to hosting problems, Swenka will immediately try to sort the issue out as soon as possible.

Email account: Swenka will email you all the information needed to set up your email account and also instructions for doing so, should you require these. We can unfortunately not commit to helping clients configure or use their email software programs. Clients are responsible for saving their own passwords and email setting information.
